Wilkhahn – German manufacturer of innovative and dynamic office and conference furniture that encourages well-being, health, creativity, and performance – today announces its new partnership with Architype. From August 2020, Architype will represent the entire Wilkhahn portfolio and assist with the company’s expansion into the West Coast market.

Ted Zakowski, VP of Sales at Wilkhahn Ltd., explains, “Increasing our presence on the West Coast is a critical step in our expansion. Finding the right partner [in Southern California/ Nevada] has been a priority and as we researched the firms best suited for Wilkhahn, Architype stood out. We look forward to working closely with them to grow our collective business.”

Architype serves the A+D community across Southern California and Nevada, including LA County and Orange County, greater San Diego, and Inland Empire, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, in addition to the greater Las Vegas area. “This is a fantastic opportunity for our firms to partner and provide such quality, premium seating and table solutions to the Southern California and Las Vegas markets,” said Jean-Guy Poitras, President of Architype. “There is nothing quite like the precision and beauty born of the Made-in-Germany ethos that Wilkhahn has been delivering for more than 113 years.”

Some of the pieces that will be featured in the Architype showroom will be Wilkhahn’s award-winning seating ranges, including Cantilever, ON, Graph, and the new AT Mesh. “Architype has had a 30 year history of introducing the design community to the leading manufacturers of architectural and interiors products,” said Joe Fitzpatrick, EVP of Development and Operations for Architype. “Wilkhahn and its industry-leading portfolio exemplify our core passion for design, quality and performance while allowing us to extend our breadth of offering to commercial interior designers, architects and their clients.”

In addition to Jean-Guy Poitras and Joe Fitzpatrick, Sebastian Munoz (VP of Design and Development) and Pamela Adams (Manager of Design Products) will also assist with the management of the partnership.
