36 Years of IFI World Interiors Day (IFI WID)
Embracing your enthusiasm for interiors and the constructed environment, how are you acknowledging the 36th year of commemorating interiors through World Interiors Day (IFI WID)? IFI WID is devoted to bringing together professionals, experts, and enthusiasts to acknowledge, uplift, and applaud design for interiors and its influence.
The 2024 IFI world-member-selected theme of “The Growing Generational Gap: Improved Multi-Generational Future”. This year’s IFI WID theme points to an inherent challenge: the communication gap between different age groups. In this context, design emerges as a crucial tool for creating inclusive solutions that promote more effective and meaningful communication between people of different ages. inclusive design’s approach to overcoming intergenerational communication paves the way for a future where generations coexist in a collaborative and enriching way. It is through sensitive and adaptable design that we can create an environment that celebrates generational diversity, building bridges between past, present and future.
Throughout the month of May and formally on Saturday, 25th May, let us come together to showcase our commitment to our profession and the importance of design in the settings and surroundings of our distinct contexts and communities.
