VOA Welcomes a New Senior Vice President, Design Director in Hospitality
VOA Associates Incorporated is pleased to announce that Frederick Robertus has joined VOA’s Chicago office as Senior Vice President, Design Director in VOA’s hospitality group. Mr. Robertus is currently engaged in design work for VOA on Virgin Hotels New York, The Wrigley Hotel in Chicago and projects in hospitality, aviation and retail. “I am thrilled to be with an architectural firm again. I prefer the architectural discipline and environment. I am excited about the challenge of building our hospitality and mixed-use group here at VOA,” says Robertus.
Frederick Robertus comes to VOA with 23 years of extensive experience in architectural interior design. His portfolio includes numerous luxury hospitality projects in Asia for international brands, retail banking and sportswear design as well as residential projects.
Hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Frederick Robertus earned his B.A. Environmental Design/Interior Architecture at Minneapolis College of Art & Design and furthered his studies at New York School of Interior Design and Open Atelier of Design & Architecture.
Robertus is enthusiastic about approaching interior design as an architectural discipline. “Design is the most important thing to me in the world. I live design. I believe that by integrating all design disciplines, from shell and core to systems and MEP as well as interiors, results in a better, stronger, more efficient product for the client.”
