The premise from modern architecture that “form follows function,” applies to the hidden structures of textiles in which aesthetic and performance attributes are constructed through weaves to create tactility and form.
The comprehensive palette offers a vast array of color choices from vibrant colors like canary and coral to soothing hues in opal and ocean. The possible color combinations are endless with the Structures Collection.
The Crypton® moisture barrier makes this collection perfect for hospitality, education, healthcare, and senior living interiors. The Structures Collection balances design, color, performance, and pricing to offer versatile design solutions suitable for any project.
Channel is a plush version of corduroy that is soft as well as sturdy. Classic corduroy is constructed using twisted or tufted fibers in parallel positions called cords and is known for its durability.
Form uses a fine bouclé yarn embedded in a tightly woven ground. Bouclé is French for “curled” or “ringed,” and in textiles, refers to the yarn which is made from a series of looped fiber, or the fabric that is made from it.
Function incorporates classic textile techniques such as twilling to create a linen-like texture in a high-performance synthetic construction.
Gatsby, the Crypton version of Mayer’s best-selling fabric, Fedora, grounds and complements Crypton Structures with the addition of a modern classic felt.
