Robert Allen Adds Benches and Ottomans to Furniture Series
Robert Allen is continuing to expand its custom furniture line, adding Occasional Furniture to its already robust collection of headboards and dining chairs. With 15 ottomans and 9 benches to choose from, Robert Allen Furniture provides designers with the opportunity to easily create a custom piece at an accessible price point. The program is designed with the busy designer in mind, offering better quality than at retail and quicker solutions than those found at a workroom.
Senior Vice President, Design and Marketing for Robert Allen, Jennie Wilde remarks, “The introduction of occasional pieces to our existing suite of furniture enforces the Robert Allen motto of ‘Your search ends here.’ Designers can select from innumerable options— tufting or no tufting, different nail head patterns, five elegant wood finishes—so that the ottoman or bench they design is unique to them and fits their precise needs.”
Each ottoman and bench is available with a range of customization options in the following fields:
Seat: For the majority of pieces, designers may select from a plain tight box, a classic tufted seat, a single-tufted mitered seat with button, and a modern button seat.
Base and Leg: Whether looking for a contemporary or a traditional style, designers have the choice of seven leg styles: block leg, tapered with plinth, plain tapered leg, turned leg with caster, kick pleat skirt, upholstered with hidden caster, or upholstered with hidden leg.
Welt Detail: A self-welt or contrast welt may be chosen to complete the look.
Nail Trim Finishes: For chic polish, designers can use one of six nail heads: the soft gold French Natural, the classic deep silver Natural, Old Gold, Polished Silver, Pewter, or Burnished Bronze.
Nail Placement: Nail heads may then be applied in a variety of border patterns to enhance the piece and add further visual interest. Options are: Single Row, Double Row, Greek Key Corner, X Border, or Chain Link.
Wood Finish: By choosing a White, Grey, Walnut, Tazo, or Ember wood finish, the ottoman or bench can be perfectly coordinated to match other pieces in its final home.
Fabric: In addition to all of the above, designers get to use their favorite Robert Allen or Beacon Hill fabric to be the star of the show and further transform their custom piece.
The collection was designed with a wide range of end users in mind. Styles range from contemporary to classic, with touches of mid-century modern, art deco, and French regency among other influences. Several of the options offer storage and multi-functional applications.
