Rimadesio New York Flagship Opens Its Doors During NYCxDESIGN
Rimadesio, the leading Italian design brand for elegant contemporary furniture and storage systems, is pleased to announce the launch of its first US flagship store in New York City. The new 6,000 square foot, two-floor showroom will be located at the ground level of 102 Madison Avenue in the heart of the NoMad Design District. This full design experience space is the company’s third flagship store worldwide, joining those in Milan and London.
The opening represents a strategic step in Rimadesio’s North American expansion: considered an important market receptive to the brand’s hallmark quality, attention to detail, and customized design. Rimadesio will continue to be available through mono-brand showrooms in New York, Chicago, Houston, and Miami. This highly selected distribution network is destined to grow in the coming years throughout other major North American cities.
Designed by Andrea Pozzoli from Rimadesio Studio, the new flagship store is the result of an architectural renovation that lasted 18 months. The exhibition space covers two floors that are designed in order to create a continuous environment and communicate the best qualities of the brand. The exhibition concept focuses on a minimal color palette, in line with the corporate identity that distinguishes Rimadesio around the world. The flagship also houses the executive office of Rimadesio USA Inc. led by CEO Andrea Romano and President Luigi Malberti.
The showroom presents the Rimadesio collection in its entirety: sliding panels, doors, walk-in closets, systems for day and night areas, tables and other complementary accents. This includes a complete overview of products and finishes, with over 70 compositions designed by Giuseppe Bavuso, from iconic products – such as the Zenit bookcase, walk-in closets, and the Cover closet system – to the most recent introductions, such as the Self Plan day system, the Cover Open wardrobe and the Maxi sliding doors.
In the sustainable spirit of Rimadesio, the new location is equipped with an automated system for monitoring energy consumption, with the aim of reducing the impact on the environment. The brand prioritizes sustainable innovation, commitment to improving the efficiency of its production system, reducing consumption of non-renewable resources, minimizing waste, and using environmentally preferable products such as aluminum, glass, recycled cardboard, and 100% water-based paints in all their products.
The Modulor wall paneling system is presented in a wide variety of fixtures and materials, featuring suspended elements, storage modules, integrated cabinets, and passageways. True to its design as a multifunctional system with high visual impact, Modulor is always made to measure to perfectly suit any architectural condition.
The new flagship store is designed to offer customers and professionals accurate consulting and design services in the residential, contract and hospitality sectors. The store will always offer an up-to-date space available to all Rimadesio dealers, as well as a place for corporate events, and technical and design training for architects, interior designers and developers. This includes the brand’s R-Academy, located on the ground floor dedicated to technical and material learning with a display wall hosting all 264 finishes; highlighting aluminum and glass, Rimadesio materials of excellence, but also marbles, fabrics, Litech, woods and synthetic leathers.
