Pulp Studio to Move, Merge Operations
Pulp Studio, the Los Angeles based manufacturer of architectural glass products, announces that it has purchased a 225,000 s/f property in Gardena, California to consolidate its operations under one roof. Pulp Studio plans to merge the current operations of Pulp Studio, now housed in two separate facilities in Los Angeles, with the operations of California Glass Bending, now located in Wilmington, California. “The new facility doubles the overall square footage of our operations and allows us to add the equipment we need to maintain our growth, and the synergies of the two companies under one roof now will have great deal of advantage in our day to day operations” says Pulp Studio CEO Bernard Lax.
The move of each of the three facilities will happen throughout the next year and finish by the end of 2016. According Lax, construction begins the third week of October and moving will begin in January. In addition to the current 115,000 s/f structure currently on the premises at the Gardena property, Pulp will add a new 15,000 s/f building will be added for a new cutting facility, as well as another 5,000 s/f of mezzanine space for ancillary services. The new location also boasts an 1825 kilowatt diesel generator that can keep the entire facility online even if the power goes off.
