OFM Selected as a Finalist for 2016 Internet Retailer Excellence Awards
North Carolina furniture manufacturer joins major national retailers on shortlist
OFM, one of the nation’s leading office and school furniture manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers, now in its twentieth year, was selected as a finalist in this year’s Internet Retailer Excellence Awards for its innovative product video.
“We are honored to be recognized for the creative ways we showcase our furniture,” said Blake Zalcberg, chief executive officer of OFM. “From our use of 360-degree photography to our growth on social media, OFM has is always been on the cutting edge when it comes to helping our customers learn about our new products online.”
Internet Retailer, a leading publisher on e-commerce strategy and the largest e-retailing monthly magazine, named OFM one of five finalists for Best Product Video of the Year in its second annual Internet Retailer Excellence Awards, announced on March 30. Finalists in other categories include such well-known retailers as Amazon, Nike and Nordstrom.
OFM was nominated for a two-minute video in which Zalcberg shows the Marque Reception Station, including set-up options for disabled workers, different colors and assembly. Winners will be announced in June at the 12th annual Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition in Chicago.
OFM’s Digital Marketing Specialist, Nate Ligons, is behind many of OFM’s new and creative videos helping the company showcase its design-forward products. Zalcberg says Ligons’ passion really comes through in his work and has taken the company’s product videos, which it’s been making for more than six years, to a whole new level.
“Time and again our customers tell us they appreciate how much more they know about our furniture from our online videos and how it will look and feel in their workplace—much more than they get by looking through a print catalog,” added Zalcberg. “The Internet has given us so many more ways to showcase our products and we look forward to continuing to innovate new ways online to promote them.”
