Modular Lighting Instruments Takes North America with New Manufacturing Facility and Website

Belgium-based lighting manufacturer Modular Lighting Instruments is pleased to announce that it has opened a new state-of-the-art manufacturing plant located in Grand Haven, Michigan—the company’s first in the United States. In addition to the introduction of this new facility, the European brand has also debuted its official U.S. website, which serves North American consumers, designers, and distributors.

The innovative company, which has made a name for itself in Europe, recognized a specific demand for high-quality European lighting in the North American market. Through this new facility, Modular Lighting Instruments will be able to provide customers in the United States and Canada with shorter, two to four week lead times for most products without sacrificing the high quality the company is known for.

Modular Lighting Instruments takes immense pride in its manufacturing practices—making sure that every product delivered meets high standards. Because their fixtures emphasize a modern and streamlined aesthetic, it is imperative for the company to produce luminaires that look consistent, even down to its powder-coated aluminum or anodized finishes and dedication to no visible screws. With the new Michigan-based facility, North American customers will be able to receive the same European quality with more efficient lead times.

In addition to its new plant, the seasoned lighting brand has launched a U.S. website (supermodular.us), that includes product offerings specific to the North American market and certifications. This past March, Modular Lighting Instruments debuted seven existing products at this year’s LEDucation in New York, as well as previewed for additional products ahead of their official launches later in the year. Customers will be able to find images and technical specifications certified for North American consumers on the brand’s website. The new website now has a dynamic product code builder for all products which creates a specification datasheet with performance data linked to the exact configuration that was selected, thus making specification easier than ever before.

Established by Paul Rommens and Jan Meyfroidt in 1980, Modular Lighting Instruments offers a wide range of luminaires, including surface, recessed, suspension, and track lighting. The company has specified projects for a number of industries including hospitality, retail, education, office, and high-end residential settings around the world.
