Ginger GildenThe International Interior Design Association’s New York Chapter (IIDA NY) is excited to announce the appointment of Ginger Gilden as Chapter President. IIDA NY is a professional organization that unites A&D professionals in the New York area, providing them with networking opportunities, educational events, and charitable initiatives.

Ginger Gilden, IIDA, Certified Interior Designer, is a senior designer and associate at IA Interior Architects, and brings more than 20 years of diverse design experience across the commercial, educational, healthcare, government and legal industries. “Ginger brings exceptional energy and enthusiasm to IIDA NY.” says Michael-Battaglia. “Ginger has an empowering vision for the chapter and IIDA NY’s role in the interior design community. I am confident in her leadership and dedication to ensuring that our organization continues to positively impact the industry.”

Passionate about fostering a strong design community, Gilden has been a member of IIDA since 1994 and has a track record of dedicating her efforts to a variety of the organization’s initiatives, including the annual IIDA NY Leaders Breakfast. A graduate of Louisiana Tech University, where she studied architecture and interior design, Gilden spent the first five years of her career in Memphis, Tennessee, before beginning work for a New York City-based firm. As a senior designer and associate at IA Interior Architects, Gilden has overseen various projects including King & Spalding, Jones Lang Lasalle, State Street, and Experian, as well as other influential confidential clients.

“I truly enjoy supporting the NY design industry and helping to bring out the best in our talented pool of design professionals,” said Gilden. “This organization has connected me with an incredible group, and I hope to be as inspiring as those who precede me. IIDA Vice President Julio Braga, FIIDA, Design Principal at IA, and past IIDA International President, provides guidance and support, as do my IA and IIDA families.”

During her year-long tenure as chapter president, Gilden will be focusing her efforts on creating an inspiring program for current and new members of the professional organization. She plans to concentrate on educational and networking events to provide maximum benefits to members, and also provide exposure to IIDA NY industry partners.

“Ginger Gilden is an excellent designer and an inspiring colleague,” said Julio Braga, FIIDA.  “Her talents are only amplified by her effortless ability to manage work, a family and volunteer activities with unwavering passion, dedication and kindness. Through this passion and her design expertise, she sets a wonderful example for others in our office, and will be a fantastic President of IIDA’s New York Chapter.”
