IIDA Names Winners of 10th Annual Healthcare Design Awards

IIDA is pleased to announce the winners of the 2022 IIDA Healthcare Design Awards. These awards recognize design firms for creativity and innovation in the design of healthcare facilities across seven categories within Hospitals, Extended Care and Assisted Living Facilities, and Ambulatory.

“The future of healthcare is being seen now via these types of spaces that are critical to healthcare professionals’ and communities’ rapidly changing needs,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO, Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA. “It’s an honor to showcase these design visionaries as they merge the necessary advancements in patient care with healthcare administrators’ operation, organization, and hygiene demands.”

Projects were reviewed by a panel of healthcare design professionals, including former President of IIDA’s New York chapter, Elsie St. Léger, IIDA; HDR Senior Interior Designer Professional Associate, Kelley Dorsett, IIDA, CHID; and AECOM Senior Vice President and Interior Design Director, Americas, Brett A. Shwery, FIIDA, AAIA, CID.

“Each project not only exemplified the highest level of technicality required for healthcare design, but also went above and beyond in terms of ingenuity and originality,” St. Léger said on behalf of the jury. “The jury was incredibly impressed with each submitted project and is proud to honor these winners as those who stood out among their peers.”
