Humanscale Looks Ahead with Key Leadership Appointments

If the first quarter of the year is any indication, 2017 promises more dynamic partnerships, collaborations and product innovation by Humanscale. From exhibiting at CES and CES on the Hill to producing concept-driven projects like the RE:CHARGE Cafe at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, Humanscale continues to distinguish itself from traditional manufacturers and designers. Though these successful projects and product launches, the result of collective efforts from across the company, three leaders are making their mark in newly appointed roles. Tina Brennan recently joined Humanscale as Senior Brand Director while Jon Strassner and Jonathan Johnson have taken on new leadership roles, Director of Workplace Strategy and Northeast A&D Director respectively.

Tina Brennan

As Senior Brand Director, Tina works closely with executive leadership and the international marketing and product teams to create Humanscale’s unified, integrated and globally consistent approach to all marketing initiatives. She has an extensive background in marketing and brand management, having worked as the Executive Director of Marketing at Interior Design for six years. There, she oversaw the brand’s identity and marketing for all divisions, leading the launch of successful industry programs such as Giants of Design conferences, HiP at NeoCon Awards, NYCxDESIGN Awards, productFIND online search tool, and Interior Design Live broadcast studio. Before joining Interior Design, Tina worked at Architectural Digest as the Director of Marketing. During her time there, she won the prestigious Condé Nast Marketer of the Year Award for her work on launching the brand’s first online community, AD Roundtable. Drawing upon her experience in the publishing and design worlds, Tina offers a fresh, yet nuanced perspective that promises to further strengthen the Humanscale brand.

Jon Strassner

Returning to Humanscale, Jon Strassner offers a distinct understanding of the brand’s evolution with over two decades of experience as both Canadian Sales Director and North American Director of A&D. Over the years, Jon has enjoyed being a part of Humanscale’s progression and contributing to its role today as an industry leader in people, productivity and workstation functionality. As the Director of Workplace Strategy, Jon Strassner is immersing himself in the design industry to better understand industry trends and salient conversations about the future of the workplace. Jon’s role is to ensure that the Humanscale brand remains top of mind and globally relevant. In 2007, Jon became a LEED Accredited Professional. His passion for sustainability aligns with Humanscale’s new initiatives such as the Net Positive Project, where companies like Humanscale don’t just take less from the environment, rather they create healthy and restorative places to work and live. Jon has been a speaker at a number of conferences, most recently the Central Pennsylvania GreenCon and the Delaware Valley Green Council Sustainability Symposium.

Jonathan Johnson

Since joining the organization in 2011 as a Senior Account Development Representative, Jonathan Johnson has grown his market each year, solidifying the Humanscale brand as the territory’s market leader among architects, designers, dealers and Fortune 500 companies. With prior experience practicing architecture and interior design with Giattina Aycock Architects (Birmingham, Alabama), he brings an extensive understanding of the design process to his new role as Northeast A&D Director. Jonathan covers major markets including Washington D.C., Philadelphia and New York City. He is an active board member of local IIDA (International Interior Design Association) and AIDC chapters (Alabama Interior Design Coalition), and is an advocate and committee member for AIA (American Institute of Architects).
