Architecture & Design Film Festival Launches 10th Season in NYC During Archtober

The Architecture & Design Film Festival, the nation’s largest film festival devoted to architecture and design, is preparing to launch its 10th season with ADFF:NY, its marquee event in NYC, from October 16-21. With dozens of humanistic documentaries about creative visionaries (including Gary Hustwit’s NEW film about living design legend Dieter Rams), stimulating talks with filmmakers and architects, and interactive installations in the festival lounge, ADFF:NY is the perfect fall activity for design-loving New Yorkers.

The a&d community’s beloved festival, founded by architect Kyle Bergman in 2009, will kick off with the 5th annual Short Films Walk on October 3, which brings crowds to the SoHo Design District for an evening of showroom hopping complete with drinks and a curated viewing of short films by ADFF. Both ADFF:NY and SFW:NY are two must-see events during Archtober, New York City’s month-long festival of architecture activities, programs and exhibitions in October.
