Solomon Coyle 2021-Q1 Market Outlook Report Expands, Indicates Growth

Solomon Coyle has released its Market Outlook Report for 2021-Q1. This quarter’s survey accrued the highest response rate to date with an increased participation rate of 20%. The report continues to evolve and now includes dealer size in terms of sales. As a result of increased participation the firm was also able to provide additional subregional reporting while continuing to ensure the anonymity of respondents.

John Joseph, head of analytics at Solomon Coyle, states, “The commercial furniture industry has been uniquely impacted by COVID-19, as ‘workplace de-densification’ entered the vernacular and remote work became commonplace. This quarter’s survey results offer an important, and optimistic, perspective on our emergence from the pandemic.”

David Solomon, managing principal, adds, “We are excited to see that the industry has moved back into a positive trajectory and that business is up in all geographic regions, sectors, and product categories. The dealers expect new orders to grow by 9.3% in Q2 and by 8.2% in Q3 this year.”

Dealers that complete the quarterly survey receive a full report containing regional and subregional information where available. To view the current report, visit: www.solomoncoyle.com/dealer-market-outlook-report/.
