Nubia Henderson’s journey traverses a landscape where creativity and innovation dance in harmony across industries. A seasoned Programming Director, her narrative unfurls with a backdrop of media luminaries like Oprah, Warner Bros, and Tyler Perry. A purposeful pivot led her from the allure of production sets to the realm of teaching, where Nubia discovered intricate parallels between production scheduling and classroom management.
While teaching, Nubia’s dynamic pedagogy empowered students with tools for self-regulation and exposure to experiential learning excursions through connections at Burrell Communications. Amidst this transformative chapter, Nubia embraced the call of motherhood, fueling her to pioneer “kids jamm,” a family wellness startup serving schools and community organizations.
Returning to the professional sphere, Nubia harnessed her unique skill set to foster growth and leveraged her business and community connections, plus After School Matters extensive network to nurture youth and open pathways to opportunities.
Based on her expertise as a research investigator and certified yoga instructor, her goal is to orchestrate environments that prioritize well-being while redefining spaces that foster innovation, inclusivity, and inspiration.
