LRS Architects Celebrates Growth, Promotes Boumatar and Loverro to Associate

LRS Architects, a firm that values innovation, creativity, and collaboration, is pleased to announce the promotions of designers Mira Boumatar and Kelsey Loverro to Associate. Boumatar works in various studios, including civic, commercial, housing and adaptive reuse, where her intuitive, technological approach has provided creative opportunities for the firm. Loverro works in the firm’s multi-family housing and workplace studios and has also lent her design expertise to the hospitality and auto sectors.

“We are proud to announce Kelsey and Mira’s promotions to Associate at the firm,” said Michelle Startt, Managing Principal at LRS Architects. “Their dedication, hard work, creativity, and collaborative mindsets strengthen our team and provide our clients with the highest caliber of service. We can’t wait to see their continued contributions to the firm as we move forward.”

Mira Boumatar

Boumatar joined LRS in 2015, and her resourcefulness and ingenuity have anchored her design philosophy, highlighted by her leadership role in the firm’s virtual reality programming space. Always calm and collected, Boumatar effuses a comforting atmosphere that inspires team members to do their best. She serves on the firm’s Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) Committee, as well as a member of the Practice Committee, Social Committee, and the CCA Taskforce, where her influence and thoughtfulness foster a more productive and welcoming work environment. Boumatar earned her Bachelor of Architecture from the American University of Beirut.

“From my first day, LRS has felt like home. I immediately felt inspired and valued by my fellow team members,” said Boumatar. “I couldn’t be more excited to be named Associate to help shape and expand the impact of such an innovative firm. I can’t wait to continue my work here and provide exceptional service to clients.”

Kelsey Loverro

Joining LRS in 2014, Loverro’s exuberant and warm personality lights up every room she enters. Her tenure at the firm has seen her grow from a support role designer to leading entire design projects from inception to completion. She fosters a team-oriented approach that allows each team member to produce their highest level of work. In addition to her excellent design work, her contributions extend to social media marketing, art directing photo shoots, and bringing new projects to the multi-family housing and workplace studios. Loverro is a registered member of the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ), which recognizes the highest level of proficiency in interior design principles and a designer’s commitment to their profession. She earned her Bachelor of Interior Architecture from the University of Oregon.

“Becoming an Associate is a milestone in my career, and I can’t wait to learn more in this new role and further expand my professional expertise,” said Loverro. “I love making beautiful spaces that provide a thoughtful and healthy atmosphere that meets our clients’ needs and desires. LRS has encouraged me to push my creativity to new levels while expanding my leadership skills.”
