Landscape Forms Appoints Scott Black as Business Development Representative for the Eastern & Northern Michigan Regions

Landscape Forms, North America’s leading designer and manufacturer of high-design site furniture, structure, LED lighting and accessories, is pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Black as the company’s newest Business Development Representative for the Eastern & Northern Michigan Regions. The territory was previously represented by Kyle Verseman, who was promoted to Regional Sales Manager of the Southeast Region at Landscape Forms.

A seasoned professional with over 23 years of experience in landscape architecture, Black’s expertise spans a diverse range of projects including corporate campuses, green infrastructure, regional commercial centers, residential estates, streetscape enhancements, and urban parks. His passion lies in creating collaborative, community-driven projects that not only function effectively but also leave a lasting impact on practical, social, and cultural levels.

Some of Black’s notable achievements include leading a team to receive the 2010 Michigan Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects Honor Award, and recently, his contributions were recognized with the 2021 Honor Award from the MIASLA Executive Committee for significant support of Michigan Landscape Architects. For the last five years, he has successfully served in business development within the manufacturing market, cultivating new relationships, driving revenue growth, and consistently exceeding set territory budget.

Black’s educational background includes an associate’s degree in Landscape Design from Lansing Community College, a Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning with a minor in Environmental Analysis from Eastern Michigan University, and an Executive Masters of Business Administration from Michigan State University. He actively engages with numerous professional and service organizations, currently serving as the Vice President of Membership for the Michigan Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects, Board Director for the Executive MBA program at Michigan State University, Parks and Recreation Commissioner, and Board Member for the Construction Board of Appeals in the City of South Lyon, MI. Black is licensed as a Landscape Architect in the states of Connecticut and Michigan.
