Kay Chesterfield Inc. Hires New Director of Operations

Rachel Fletcher

Rachel Fletcher has joined Kay Chesterfield, Inc. as Director of Operations. Ms. Fletcher was previously the owner of Knox Upholstery in Knoxville, TN. In 2019, she helped build the National Upholstery Association (NUA) and was elected its first president. The NUA now represents over 200 professional upholstery companies. With her 15 years of upholstery experience, she continues to serve on the NUA board. Fletcher will oversee production innovations within Kay Chesterfield’s growing contract re-upholstery business and workplace pillows capability.

“I am thrilled to be part of the sustainability mission that drives Kay Chesterfield. Our goal is to reduce furniture waste by delivering beautiful and value-filled re-upholstery. Our talented artisans and production managers make furniture live longer for our clients,” says Fletcher.

Fletcher has also been an instructor at the Custom Workroom Conference and is a co-administrator of the Professional Upholsterer’s Network, a group of over 4,000 global professional upholsterers. Fletcher has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Millikin University in Illinois. Her career and passion for upholstery began as a Props Assistant at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
