The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) is pleased to announce the winners of the 11th annual IIDA/Contract Magazine Booth Design Awards at NeoCon East 2016. The competition winners are Tarkett, designed by Suzanne Tick Inc., for Large Booth (over 400 square feet) and Bentley, designed by Bentley Mills Inc., for Small Booth (under 400 square feet). The winners were presented with certificates at NeoCon East in Philadelphia.
“We were impressed with the creative use of design elements – light, materials, and graphics – among contest entrants as manufacturers were challenged to make the most of limited booth space booth at NeoCon East,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA, LEED AP. “Both Tarkett and Bentley successfully showcased their brands and product offerings through the outstanding and original use of design.”
The jury panel reviewing this year’s competition included Ginger Gilden, IIDA, Senior Designer & Associate, IA Interior Architects; Paul Lewandowski, IIDA, Design Principal, Lavallee Brensinger Architects; and Jessie Santini, IIDA, Interior Designer, RLPS Interiors.
The IIDA/Contract Magazine Booth Design Awards honor originality of design, visual impact, effective use of materials and the outstanding use of space, color, texture, lighting and graphics in booths at NeoCon East 2016. Winners will be featured on the Contract, IIDA, and Merchandise Mart websites and promoted on IIDA social media networks to more than 250,000 followers.
