IIDA Announces Stacey Crumbaker as the Recipient of the Distinguished Leadership Award
The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) is proud to announce Stacey Crumbaker, IIDA, Assoc. AIA, as the recipient of the 2016 Distinguished Leadership Award. This award honors a member whose commitment to advocating for and elevating the profession of interior design is demonstrated through extensive volunteer efforts and dedication to IIDA.
“Stacey’s passion for design drives her to be a strong advocate for our industry. Through her leadership roles in the IIDA Northern Pacific Chapter, she has successfully implemented various advocacy initiatives,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA, LEED AP. “Her work has also helped inform advocacy best practices at IIDA HQ, allowing her expertise and enthusiasm to reach far beyond her Chapter.”
As the current Vice President of Advocacy and a Past President of the IIDA Northern Pacific Chapter, Crumbaker has impacted interior design advocacy both regionally and nationally. She has been instrumental in raising the profile of the Association’s advocacy efforts, most recently accepting a position on the IIDA Advocacy Advisory Council.
Currently an interior designer at Mahlum Architects in Seattle, Wash., Crumbaker also serves on the Board of Directors for Design In Public, an initiative that works to foster an appreciation of the impact design has on urban life. She received a Bachelor of Science in interior design and a Master of Architecture from Arizona State University.
Crumbaker will be presented with the award at the IIDA Annual Meeting on Sunday, June 12, 2016, at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. For more information, visit iida.org.
