Todd Straka,Global Industry Director, Lighting: UL

Todd currently serves as Global Industry Director, Lighting for UL’s Appliances, HVAC, and Lighting division. In his current role, Todd is responsible for developing, expanding, and refining UL’s global lighting business portfolio to support the ever-changing needs of UL’s clients.Todd has been involved in the testing and certification business supporting the lighting industry for over 20 years, the last 10 of which he has been with UL. He has worked closely with many industry stakeholders including manufacturers, retailers, distributors, specifiers, government agencies, and associations such as U.S. DOE, U.S. EPA, U.S. DOT, NEMA, ALA, and IESNA. During his time in the lighting industry, he has been heavily involved in various energy-efficiency and performance testing programs such as ENERGY STAR ®, Lighting Facts, and DesignLights Consortium.Todd currently works from his home office in Cortland, NY and enjoys spending time with family, golfing, boating, and fishing in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York.
