HBF Textiles Unveils Energized Spring 2018 Collection

HBF Textiles’ new Spring 2018 Collection brings together more than just yarns on a loom. Handcrafted with quality, the Spring Collection is emotionally connective and energetic – with six new fabrics that touch on playful themes with thoughtful composition. Designed by HBF Textiles’ VP Design + Creative Direction Mary Jo Miller, the collection combines beautiful aesthetics with meticulous craftsmanship. Inspired by an affection for liveliness and dynamic, sensory fabrics, the Spring Collection seeks to push beyond the expected.

“I believe the quality of a tactile experience is essential. The materials used throughout the Spring Collection are thoughtful, warm, fuzzy, bold, and rich,” explains Mary Jo Miller. “Each fabric is a one-of-a-kind design with its own unique story and rich color palette.”

With 52 colorways and 6 new fabrics, the Spring Collection is as individual as it is versatile. Designs like Ziggy Zag and Pepper Blend can be upholstered in an open office environment to add an inviting, textural touch. Weekender and Modern Patina accommodate both sophisticated and casual spaces with their soft, handcrafted leather feel and wide range of modern hues. Inspired by digital connectivity, Color Code and Digital Bloom recall a pixelated, design-savvy pattern that is impressively modern yet timeless, adding whimsy and energy to any environment.

HBF Textiles’ standard of craftsmanship and dedication to high quality, prudently-sourced materials allow the Spring 2018 Collection to stand-out in any setting, while offering an unparalleled level of comfort and performance. The collection is completed by environmentally-conscious materials, three bleach-cleanable fabrics, and almost every design meets 100,000 double rubs, speaking to HBF Textiles’ signature balance between beauty and brawn.

Color Code

Color Code

A simple design that conveys multiple colorations against a continuous backdrop, Color Code works as both a solid and a pattern. Six weft positions create a “DNA strand” of color with 7 inspiring hues.

  • Woven in New Jersey at a family owned mill with a heritage of producing both high-end residential and commercial textiles
  • Comprised of post- and pre-consumer recycled polyester (64% recycled polyester content)
  • 100,000 double rubs with bleach cleanability and stain resistance
  • Available in 7 colors (White, Light Grey, Warm Grey, Orange, Red, Blue, Blue Green)

 Digital Bloom

Digital Bloom

Digital Bloom conveys a floral impression in a modern, pixelated translation. This pattern recalls a hip camouflage, a tiled floral, a complex puzzle … whatever the description, it’s a versatile, individual pattern with tremendous performance attributes.

  • Woven in a restored vintage Pennsylvania mill
  • Made of high energy dyed polyester & solution dyed nylon
  • Bleach cleanable; with a moisture barrier backing & Defend® – a superior oil and water repellent finish
  • 100,000 double rubs on the Wyzenbeek machine
  • 8 floral-inspired colorations (Peony, Autumn Joy, Dahlia, Yellow Button, Hydrangea, Paperwhite, Solomon’s Seal, Forsythia)

Pepper Blend

This supple, peppery cloth has both dimension and softness. With a built-in abrasion resistance of 100,000 double rubs, Pepper Blend provides the best of both worlds.

  • Woven in a Northern Italian village at a boutique mill known for their lustrous elegant yarns
  • Comprised of viscose and cotton for a soft hand and polyester and linen for strength (40% rapidly renewable content)
  • Available in 9 stippled colorations (White, Fusion, Garlic, Red, Ground, Medley, Green, Granular, Black)

Weekender

Weekender is inspired by last-minute weekend getaways, with colorways named after some of HBF Textiles’ favorite weekend destinations. Made of polyurethane faux leather, with a large grain texture that reflects a luxurious, leather travel bag.

  • Made without PVC, POPs, conflict minerals, heavy metals, stabilizers, flame retardants, PBDEs or Phthalates
  • 100,000 double rubs on the Wyzenbeek machine
  • 12 colorations (Marfa, Joshua Tree, New Glarus, Austin, Nashville, Sedona, Hudson Valley, Hood River, Asheville, Saugatuck, Portland, Phoenicia)

Ziggy Zag

Named to call out the zig-zag shading that occurs from the space dyed yarn stitched in, Ziggy Zag is a dimensional design that does double duty for both upholstery & wrapped panel applications with 40,000 double rubs.

  • Woven in the same Pennsylvania mill as Digital Bloom
  • Made of space dyed polyester fill yarn where varying dye shades are stamped on the yarn to give an ombrĂ© effect
  • Stain resistant finish and light acrylic backing
  • 8 shaded colorations (Off-white, Orange, Brown, Red, Light Grey, Green, Blue, Black)

 Modern Patina

Modern Patina is reminiscent of 1930’s luxury Italian luggage. It fuses artisan, original tanning techniques with 21st century modernity.

  • Processed using low emission, environmentally friendly mineral tanning formulas
  • Hides are re-tanned in aged oak drums using vegetable agents, natural fat liquors and oils, and aniline dyes
  • Complies with regulations of the EU environmental standard CE2000/53
  • 8 luxurious hues (Vintage Brass, Copper Penny, Corten Steel, Weathered Wood, Verdigris Green, Galvanized Blue, Aged Nickel, Blackened Steel)
