Italian lighting company Foscarini has furthered their commitment to New York and the North American market by announcing their move to a new showroom at 20 Greene Street.

The 5,600 sq. ft. bi-level space is almost double the size of its former location on the same block, and is part of the Soho Design District (SDD). Foscarini Spazio Soho will function as a dual contract/retail space to showcase the brand’s diverse collection of contemporary designs, house its North America headquarters, as well as host the company’s cultural exhibitions throughout the year.

“North America has become our second biggest market after Europe, and our growing footprint is reflective of our deepening relationship with the A&D community and the design world here,” said Carlo Urbinati, founder and president of Foscarini.

Originally constructed in 1880 as a warehouse, the building features a cast iron façade typical of the historic Soho Cast Iron District.

Not only does the new store cater to people seeking for contemporary lighting designs by world-owned designers, it also acts as a venue vigorously promoting cultural and art projects – Anni Luce, an art installation is currently on view at the store celebrating monumental moments in product design and history.
