Facilitating Engagement with Nature through the Living Building Challenge
Indian Creek Nature Center outside Cedar Rapids, Iowa breaks ground, pursuing Full Living certification
Indian Creek Nature Center rests snugly along the shore of Indian Creek just before it meets the Cedar River. In this quiet corner of Iowa youâll find the site of a future Living Building. Two years ago, Jean Wiedenheft, Land Stewardship Director at the Center, attended a Rotary meeting in Cedar Rapids where Liz Christiansen, director of the University of Iowaâs Sustainability Office, shared a presentation on Net Zero Energy Building Certification starting them on the path toward a restorative future. http://living-future.org/news/facilitating-engagement-nature-through-living-building-challenge
