EDmarket Scholarship Winner Announced
Soha Jashwant Awarded the 2024 John L. Spalding Scholarship
The Chairman’s Advisory Committee of the Education Market Association (EDmarket) has selected Soha Jashwant as the 2024 John L. Spalding Memorial Scholarship winner. The $5,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving student for undergraduate education.
Soha was sponsored by Meteor Education, an EDmarket member company since 2006. She just completed her freshman year at the University of Texas in Austin, pursuing a major in Health & Society.
“As I work to reinforce my university’s atmosphere of innovation and transformation through its community, I remain focused and engaged in learning how to approach human relationships and impact youth mental health more effectively through my youth mental health awareness and anti-loneliness sociopolitical campaign, Swear2Care,” wrote Soha in her winning essay.
Since 1987, EDmarket has provided an annual college scholarship for its members and their children. This year, the scholarship amount was increased from $2,500 to $5,000, reflecting the steep rise in educational expenses. JLS scholarship applications are judged by the Chairman’s Advisory Committee based on merit.
