Coalesse Customizer Invites Participation In Design
The Coalesse Customizer lets designers play with color and pattern. Using this tool, Coalesse Pattern and infinite color may be applied to LessThanFive Chairs to visualize and explore in four easy steps:

LessThanFive, one of Coalesse’s most popular comes with nine patterns pre-set on the customizer, each one inspired by nature and shape. There is also an option for customers to participate in the pattern development, by uploading their own image to apply to the chair. LessThanFive has three areas where different patterns and scale (micro – macro) can be added: seat, inner back and outer back. It also has three areas where color can be customized: the background, the pattern overlay and the gradient color for the legs. This gradient is optional and can be adjusted to two different heights.
An object of extraordinary craftsmanship, The LessThanFive Chair designed by the Coalesse Design Group and Michael Young is made entirely of carbon fiber, one of the strongest and lightest materials available today, and weighs in at less than 5 pounds. It is stackable up to four high and is especially well-suited for informal office settings. Now, for the cases where infinite options can be too much, the nine Coalesse Pattern pre-set possibilities found on the Customizer help to guide and inspire. These are meant to enrich the choices of interior designers by creating elements that would aid the rejuvenation and stress reduction that are crucial to people’s positive connection to their workplaces. For these patterns the Coalesse Design Group looked toward abstractions of nature, manipulating images like a reflection of water, dappled light, wood, sand and flocking birds over and over again to reach simplified, pure, repeatable motifs that have the spirit of nature in them.
