Carnegie Launches Digital Design Studio

Sustainable textile manufacturer Carnegie has launched a “digital studio”, its new web platform that will translate the interactive design process from Carnegie’s creative NY studio to the digital environment.    Featuring a variety of industry-firsts, the new Carnegiefabrics.com will inspire interior designers through new tools including a Live Chat and Optimized Search.

“We have always worked through an interactive process with designers,” said Cliff Goldman, president. The company accumulated requests and suggestions from designers over the course of one year, in order to hone in on their needs in the new web direction.

“From the welcoming carousel of beautiful new images to the informative resources and search tools, the new website is an extension of the Carnegie creative and collaborative process, and positions us as a greater resource for the community,” Goldman concluded.

Key features include:

Live Chat

Carnegie’s new live chat feature is the first of it’s kind in the textile industry. Carnegie staff out of the Long Island office have been trained to apply their intimate product knowledge to this new tech tool, which provides real-time service to customers on the site.

 Optimized Search

Filter options for product type, performance and pricing have also been added to search functionality, further helping designers and their clients envision their completed projects within their budget. A new predictive search feature, similar to Google’s, aims to assist users in their discovery process. In the new projects portfolio section, users may now search by end-use, pattern name or find a project.

Xorel Resource Guides

Downloadable PDFs of Xorel cleaning and installation instructions, 3rd party certification details, backing application instructions and a wallcoverings installation video are now available on the site. The Xorel homepage page will be multi-lingual, with seven language offerings.

 Education

A new “Learn” tab provides a comprehensive collection of case studies, CEUs videos and facts about Carnegie. The Carnegie blog also lives here, where Carnegie Designers post about recent discoveries that inspire them. The page has a new, easy-to-follow look.

 Complementary Products

Once users choose an upholstery fabric and opt to order a sample, they will be prompted with an array of complementary products that have been curated by the Carnegie Design team.
