Call for Merchandise: DIFFA’s Gift for Life Pop Up Shop

Make A DIFFArence This Holiday Season

2015.0928.Event.DIFFA.NYCPopUpShopDIFFA (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS) is seeking merchandise donations for the upcoming DIFFA Gift for Life Holiday Pop Up Shop on December 2-6 from 9AM-5PM in the Stockman-Siegel Showroom (126 West 25th Street, NY). All donated products will be on display to hundreds of holiday shoppers and offered at retail value—with all sales benefiting DIFFA.

The event is organized by the Retail Design Institute of NYC, which selected DIFFA and partner Gift for Life as beneficiaries of its annual “Iron Design” Student Competition. Six teams of students from top NY design schools will create pop-up shops and the winning design will be built and showcased in Chelsea this December to support DIFFA and Gift for Life. The winning team will be announced on October 14 after the Iron Design Contest. Because the shop will be open for just a few days, DIFFA is requesting limited quantities of between six and twenty-four items.

Johanna Osburn, executive director at DIFFA, says, “The pop up shop is a great way for us to bring our critical message to a wider audience. The shop is being designed to remind others that the fight against HIV/AIDS is not over. We hope more companies will donate products and join us in demonstrating the collective power we have to combat this disease.” She added, “We’ve received an ideal venue during the height of the shopping season and we are excited to see the amazing store design by the “Iron Design” competition winner. All we need is the help of generous manufacturers to stock our shelves with offerings.

Companies interested in participating should contact Steven Williams at swilliams@diffa.org or 646-380-4202. More information on the pop up shop can be found here: http://diffa.org/make-a-diffarence/special-events/diffas-gift-for-lifeholiday-pop-up-shop/
