BKSK’s Newest Principal, Harpreet Dhaliwal

With a key role on many of BKSK’s most respected institutional projects, Harpreet Dhaliwal exemplifies our passion for implementing design excellence in public spaces, including visitor centers, parks and playgrounds. Her commitment to a multi-stakeholder decision-making process perfectly aligns with our overall approach, in which we envision civic and cultural projects as a truly collaborative process.

Shown above (clockwise from bottom right) are three signature projects she has worked on: the LEED platinum comfort station in Washington Square Park; the New York Hall of Science Playground; and the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation headquarters. Each project conceived to express the mission and goals of our clients. Below is a preview of two works-in-progress being shepherded toward completion by Harpreet.

Minnewaska State Park Visitor Center, Kerhonkson, NY
The Minnewaska State Park Visitor Center will develop a connection between the ecological system of the site and the new building – creating a dynamic environment that can evolve over time.

Battery Plays, Lower Manhattan
Battery Plays, a 1.5-acre playground designed with an intentionally flexible framework, supports open-ended play informed by the local ecology.
