The Conference Room was designed for flexibility to accommodate the different types of events held by the organization. In one configuration, the large conference table can support a more formal Meeting.

The Member Lounge, being a focal point within the Meeting space, needed to be a unique space. The combination of wood panels, artwork, furniture, and panoramic vistas create a cozy lounge vibe suitable for the organization’s esteemed Members.

Client Overview

The Gallery Lobby serves as an intermediate space connecting the conference center and office space. The inclusion of a tan ridged wallcovering on the right and a neutral gray wallcovering on the left bridge the gap between the two spatial functions, while providing an intimate entry point for visitors.

TIGER 21 (The Investment Group for Enhanced Results in the 21st Century) provides Members with a close-knit network to discuss topics that matter most.

TIGER 21 hosts exclusive seminars and presentations for high-net-worth individuals in a relaxed private setting. Gatherings in the board room are limited to 24 attendees and a range of hospitality services are prepared in the on-site kitchen including: breakfast, lunch, cocktails, and dinners.

Program highlights include:

  • Members’ lounge with bar service and soft seating also doubles as a breakout space during Meetings
  • 24-seat “board room” conference facility with full AV capability
  • On-site kitchen to prepare hot meals for Members
  • Office space for breakout Meetings and private use Design Challenges

Located on a high floor of a NYC office building, the small office footprint posed a significant challenge to creating a Meeting space and workplace that was comfortable and spacious while maximizing both the efficiency and flexibility of the facility. Privacy and acoustics were also a major concern; each space was isolated from the adjacent areas to assure ideal acoustic performance.

One of the greatest physical challenges was to be able to transform the main space from a Meeting room during the daytime into a restaurant quality dining room in the evening.

Design Solutions

A custom-designed board room table was built to incorporate all of the audio/visual requirements of a contemporary conference facility. The wood veneer table-top can be quickly transformed into 3 separate dining tables by removing 4 individual panels in order to accommodate the program.

Multiple lighting “scenes” were created for this space as well as to accommodate Meetings and presentations as well as more intimate social interactions during cocktail and dinner events.

The space is defined aesthetically by the dark wood-paneled wall treatment, rich accents of gold tile and patterned wallcoverings, plush furnishings, and a patterned carpet that lend a contemporary sensibility to an otherwise classic lounge-style space.

The adjacent office spaces are designed to reflect the aesthetic of the Meeting space, offering serviced office facilities to Members for daily, weekly or monthly use. The offices are furnished in a contemporary style with glass fronts highlighting panoramic city views.

Original photographs from a private collection are featured throughout and rotated using a flexible hanging system.

The Member Lounge is adjacent to the conference/event space, which is equipped to service gatherings of up to 30 people, with bar, full kitchen and office space. The Andreu World Couve Lounge Chairs are upholstered in embellished plush all-cotton persimmon-color fabric from Pollack Textiles.
The framed photographs on the wall are from the collection of MUUS Collection.
The Conference Room was designed for flexibility to accommodate the different types of events held by the organization. In one configuration, the large conference table can support a more formal Meeting.
In the second configuration, the transformed conference table creates an intimate dining space with a grouping of tables. The ceiling coves offer customized lighting scenarios to complement the different spatial arrangements.
A critical design goal was to link the kitchen and the conference room for the organization’s dinner receptions. The complementary wooden cabinetry, gold tile accents, and passthrough window create an elegant and seamless connection between the two spaces.
