3form Promotes Wynn Clayton to CEO

Wynn Clayton

3form, the award-winning architectural and materials solutions company, has announced the retirement of Talley Goodson, CEO and founder of 3form. Wynn Clayton, the CFO/COO of 3form, has been promoted as the company’s new CEO.

Founding 3form in 2002, Goodson created an entirely new range of architectural products with the company’s unique and innovative material platforms. He grew the company from a small start-up into a robust, international, and innovative industry leader, introducing products like their signature Varia Ecoresin collection, their Full Circle product line focused on social responsibility, and their recent acoustic offerings. Moving forward, Goodson will focus on new business ventures while continuing his economic development work in emerging economies.

Wynn Clayton joined 3form in 2002 and as a nearly day-one co-venturer, Wynn was a key element of the company’s success by first taking on financial strategy, corporate development, and building the team to support its explosive growth. During his tenure, Clayton led the acquisition of three important brands for 3form, including LightArt, an innovative and growing lighting company based in Seattle, EFI, a leading supplier of glass to the commercial architectural segment, and Springboard, a new provider of working surfaces for the contract industry.

Holding an MBA and Finance degree from the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business, Clayton spent three years at Ernst & Young. Before joining 3form, he served as Chief Accounting Officer for TenFold Corporation, an enterprise software company, helping their operation grow from $3 million to over $100 million in four years–resulting in a successful IPO.

Clayton is excited to lead the 3form team as they look ahead.

“It’s such an honor to lead this company.” said Clayton. “From its inception, 3form has pioneered exciting new material platforms for architects and designers, and I am humbled to lead and grow this distinct brand alongside my talented, effective colleagues and friends.”

Since 2007, 3form has been part of Hunter Douglas, the world leader in window coverings and a major manufacturer of architectural products. “We are thrilled to have the strong and talented leadership of Wynn Clayton to help continue 3form’s track record of innovation and growth.” said Ron Kass, President & CEO of Hunter Douglas, Inc.
