Nishtha Chawla Brings a Fresh Perspective to The Firm’s Expanding Hospitality and Residential Portfolio

Nishtha Chawla

//3877 is excited to announce the addition of Interior Designer Nishtha Chawla to the multidisciplinary architecture and design practice. Nishtha, a graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts, began her design career as a project designer at KGD Architecture, giving her extensive experience working independently on large-scale spaces. With the addition of her time at HOK as an interior design intern, the //3877 team looks forward to the creative ideas and outlook Nishtha brings to the table.

“As //3877 continues to grow and evolve, we’re eager to welcome individuals who share a like-minded vision for our firm, while simultaneously challenging our perception of the built environment through new concepts and ideas,” says //3877 Partner David Tracz. “We’re thrilled to have Nishtha on the team –– her diverse and extensive experience showcases the flexibility and ambition that we value.”

Nishtha’s background in interior design, paired with her knowledge of economics and accounting, is a testament to her meticulous nature. Growing up in the capital of India, Nishtha found constant inspiration in the art and architecture that surrounded her, specifically in the production sets of Indian cinema. Her interest in cinema, as well as opera, classical music, and various cultures allows her to draw additional inspiration from multiple facets of the human experience.

“The quality of //3877’s work truly speaks for itself, and I’m eager to join the firm as it continues to create concepts that set new standards for the industry,” says Nishtha. “With a fantastic workplace culture and the opportunity to learn from other talented individuals at //3877, I am looking forward to contributing to this team-centric mindset, helping each other grow and thrive in the A&D industry.”

As //3877’s newest interior designer, Nishtha will work on the firm’s expanding hospitality and residential projects, including schematic design and design development. A certified LEED Green Associate, Nishtha takes special interest in restaurant projects and is thrilled to apply her passions to the team’s expansive project portfolio. Nishtha’s hire demonstrates //3877’s latest commitment to the continued development and growth of their creative environment.
