//3877 announces the addition of Interior Designer/Senior Innovator Allie Schoon to its team of multifaceted industry professionals. Allie’s hire cultivates a larger initiative to enrich the Washington, D.C.-based firm’s presence in New York City after announcing an expansion to the global design capital in 2022.
“As we continue to invest in the growth of our New York-based team, we’re seeking out individuals who align with the dynamic culture of our team while pushing us to evolve our design approach across all project verticals,” says Ryan Petyak, partner at //3877. “Allie is the perfect fit––her enthusiasm for designing imaginative spaces that resonate with each user is a welcome addition to our practice. We’re confident that through her leadership and drive, Allie will thoughtfully expand the firm’s footprint in New York City.”
With an undergraduate degree in Music and Psychology from the University of Maryland, Allie developed an enhanced understanding of how users interact with the built environment through a creative, experience-based lens. Inspired by her travels, Allie attended the New York School of Interior Design to pursue her master’s degree in Interior Design. She has over seven years of industry experience with renowned firms including Jeffrey Beers International and Rockwell Group, spearheading a variety of restaurant, hotel, and resort projects, leading teams big and small. In her previous roles, Allie managed projects including Coqodaq, a Korean fried chicken restaurant in New York City and a large-scale international resort, cultivating her eye for detail in hospitality spaces.
“I was drawn to //3877’s distinct culture and design approach, and I look forward to growing the firm’s presence here in New York City,” said Allie. “The team’s passion for creating beautiful, impactful spaces is palpable, and I’m excited to draw inspiration from my collaborators to progress as both a designer and leader in the industry.”
In her new role as Interior Designer at //3877, Allie will support the development of //3877’s presence in the area through her valuable insight, building upon the firm’s existing work in the city including Crave Sushi Bar and TacoVision. Outside of the office, Allie can be found volunteering at Badass Animal Rescue in Brooklyn, bird watching, and going to the park with her dog, Pippa.
