Chuckals Office Products Donates Water to Local Rescue Mission
When the city of Tacoma was hit with a heat wave at the beginning of July, Chuckals Office Products, the city’s leading independent office products dealer, stepped up with a special effort to help those in need during difficult times.
Chuckals partnered with a local homeless shelter, the Tacoma Rescue Mission, that was running low on water to help make a difference. The dealership issued a call to its own customers to purchase a case of bottled water for the mission and matched all purchases with a case of its own.
The result: Chuckals was able to deliver over 300 cases of water to help the homeless at a time when Tacoma was posting record high temperatures over 90 degrees five days in a row.
“Community support has been part of Chuckals’ DNA from the day we opened over 20 years ago,” commented Chuckals President Al Lynden. “We were delighted to have opportunity to partner with The Rescue Mission to help those in need and were totally blown away by the amazingly generous response of our customers who made this effort so successful. It’s a remarkable example of how small and medium sized businesses can really make a difference in the community when we work together!”
