Kimball Office Awarded Interior Design Best of Year
Kimball Office announces today that Canopy was recognized as Interior Design’s 2015 Best of Year Award winner in the Furniture: Contract/Systems category. In the Project category for Showroom Design, Studio O+A was awarded the Best of Year Award for the Kimball Office Chicago showroom design. The Best of Year award honors the very best products and projects in design across a wide range of categories. Kimball Office was presented the award during Interior Design’s 10th annual awards ceremony on December 3, at the IAC Building in New York City.
Conceived by 2015 Interior Design Hall of Fame inductee Primo Orpilla of Studio O+A and developed with the design team at Kimball Office, Canopy moves beyond conventional open plan benching to give each user a versatile work tool that changes according to the needs of the moment. While this product will fit into any open plan, Canopy’s height adjustment capability—a discreet mechanism that allows the user to raise or lower the desk without disturbing colleagues—is both a social and an ergonomic advance.
