David Edward Collection by Kimball Introduces New Seating Collection; Portata
Kimball is announcing the launch of Portata, a new seating solution within the David Edward Collection by Kimball. Designed by Fabio Di Bartolomei of Udine, Italy, Portata is a sleek solution to enlighten any space. Its polyurethane shell wraps the user in comfort, while multiple base options complement its sleek form with the versatility needed to accommodate any space.
Di Bartolomei’s goal with Portata was to create a chair that would appear soft to the eye although being made of a rigid and highly technological material. To achieve this, the designer created a texture that renews the ancient technique of leather working, “Capitoné”, redesigning it in a contemporary way. The elegant and soft shape perfectly matches with the wooden legs, steel and cast aluminum or desk on casters, enhancing the characteristics giving life to a collection suitable for contract and home environments.
