Tangram Convenes Multi-Industry Virtual Roundtables to Address COVID-19 Challenges and Solutions as Organizations Begin the Reopening Process

Tangram, a curator of highly creative commercial interior environments and workspaces, recently conducted an exclusive series of virtual roundtable sessions with professionals representing a wide array of organizations. The purpose of the roundtables was to engage in peer-to-peer discussions of what COVID-19 means to them now, in the near term and what the post-COVID workplace might look like.

Over a three-week period, nearly 100 participants contributed their invaluable insights and perspectives on behalf of some 75 organizations from the following industry segments:

  • Aerospace/Aviation
  • Architecture
  • Cleaning/Sanitization
  • Construction
  • Electronics
  • Entertainment/Media/Gaming
  • Finance
  • Food/Agriculture
  • Healthcare
  • Insurance
  • Law
  • Life Sciences
  • Non-Profit
  • Real Estate
  • Technology
  • Telecommunications
  • Transportation

Questions and issues addressed during the roundtables spanned current work-from-home conditions; various aspects of returning to the office environment; culture, collaboration and teams; special considerations such as food services and open spaces; and the future of the workplace. The open and candid discussions also covered redefining the purpose of the office; approaches to gaining input and engagement from employees; various techniques and best practices for creating a safe office environment; managing several aspects of change over the coming months; the overall planning process; and potential liabilities to consider.

Assisting Tangram experts in conducting the roundtables were guest moderators representing leading firms including Steelcase, Hughes Marino, Cresa and Savills.

“There is no better source of information and insight than our customers and partners who are directly involved on a day-to-day basis in dealing with the challenges presented by the COVID pandemic,” said Tangram President and CEO Joe Lozowski. “Our customers and partners are always at the top of our list in terms of ensuring that we clearly understand and are focused on their needs, now and as they evolve. We are truly grateful for their tremendous generosity in sharing their time and deep knowledge as we stay connected through this period and hopefully emerge even stronger.”

Following the roundtables, a private Slack forum was created for participants to share ongoing learning and best practices for navigating the impacts of COVID-19 on the future of work, their employees and the workplace. In addition, a series of webinars is in the works focusing on key issues and trends addressed in the roundtables.
