Arcadia Introduces Delen – Meeting Tables Designed To Promote Creativity in Everyday Spaces
There are few symbols as evocative of casual gatherings as the picnic table. With the introduction of Delen, Arcadia captures the essence of this modest, yet iconic table while reinterpreting it for today’s relaxed, collaborative spaces. Equally unassuming and refined, Delen strikes a perfect balance between mixed materials and ideal proportions to promote comfort, creativity, and community.
Designed by Ramsey Madsen and Jim Contois, the understated Delen table draws its inspiration from the most conventional carpenter’s tool: the sawhorse. With clean, angular lines and simple shapes at the forefront, its structured perfection forms the architectural foundation upon which the collection is built. Delen features solid wood construction offset by a metal accent detail in its base and legs—a signature design element that adds a touch of sophistication to its otherwise minimalist form.
The collection includes wall-mounted, sidebar, rectangle and round tables, as well as benches, all of which are available in standard Ash and Walnut wood finishes, lending a warm, inviting aesthetic. Offered with or without a planked-style top, Delen comes in three heights (29″, 36″ and 42″) and various lengths in solid wood, veneer and laminate options to ensure visual and functional preferences are met. Wall-mount and sidebar tables come with or without a metal footrest, while benches feature a metal accent on the leg interior that carries the mixed-material construction throughout the collection for a cohesive design aesthetic.
Although simple in its form, Delen is built with function in mind, making it an ideal choice in multipurpose, casual conference and meeting rooms, collaborative settings and other touchdown areas. Select technology options for top surface placement are available on all table sizes, with vertical wire management thoughtfully located in a channel groove on leg interiors and concealed with an anodized aluminum cover. A small cutout in the metal accent allows for cord pass-through for a clean look as well as convenient access to power monuments.
