Nemo Tile, a provider of top-performing surface materials, is growing!

Led by president, Matthew Karlin, the New York-based team is excited to officially welcome Kate Flanagan as marketing director and IIDA NY Chapter president Katie Michael-Battaglia as design director.

Previously the marketing team leader at Whole Foods Market, Kate Flanagan joined Nemo Tile in July. She will spearhead marketing efforts, branding and all communications.

Kate is working closely with design director Katie Michael-Battaglia, who began working at Nemo Tile in April. With more than 20 years of experience in the design industry, Katie is responsible for showroom and layout design, new product research, and overseeing personalized client services.

About Kate Flanagan

Kate Flanagan is the marketing director at Nemo Tile and has eight years of experience working in marketing, communications and advertising. She began her career at an advertising agency in 2006, growing from an account executive, to assistant strategist, a role that allowed her to dive into the thought processes behind informing a creative team. In 2010, she joined Whole Foods Market as a marketing team leader, translating the brand’s story throughout all its physical and digital outreach. She received a degree in Psychology from Syracuse University.

About Katie Michael-Battaglia

Katie Michael-Battaglia is the design director at Nemo Tile, as well as a certified interior designer, NCIDQ certificate holder, LEED AP, and IIDA professional member with over 20 years of experience in a variety of corporate market sectors. Her work has been recognized by the Solutia Ultron DOC Award, New York Council SARA Design Awards and Interior Design magazine. As the new Chapter President of IIDA NY, Michael-Battaglia provides inspiration to New York’s design community and finds creative ways to engage chapter members and those outside the design community. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelors of Science in Interior Design.
