ICFF Announces the 2017 Editors’ Awards Judging Committee

Leading Design Industry Editors to Recognize the Best of Global Design on Day One

ICFF®, North America’s largest and most prestigious series of design events for interiors in its 29th year, is proud to announce its 2017 ICFF Editors’ Awards judging committee; five leading design industry media who will scour the show floor and recognize the designers and products that showcase the best in global design at ICFF NYC. This year’s ICFF judging committee members are Annie Block of Interior Design, Gilda Bojardi of INTERNI, Dan Howarth of Dezeen, Sheila Kim of Architizer and Paul Makovsky of Metropolis.

“Each Editors’ Award judge has a proven record of excellence in his or her coverage of and dedication to the global design industry. We are grateful for the time they will give to our ICFF exhibitors in selecting the best of global design as they deliberate and award those brands and designers pushing our industry forward,” said Kevin O’Keefe, ICFF event director.

The judging committee will walk the show floor on day one of ICFF, Sunday, May 21, searching for the designers and products who exemplify the best of global design. Judges also create the award categories, recognizing products not just by type, but by style, application or theme. The entire judging process is done from the show floor, with no submission process, forcing a product to stand on its own and withstand critique from some of our industry’s most critical eyes.

“The beauty of the ICFF Editors’ Awards is that every brand on the show floor has the chance to be recognized and honored,” continued O’Keefe. “We encourage all of our attendees and exhiitors to attend the Editors’ Awards ceremony at 5pm on day one of the show.  The unveiling of each winner is one of the most rewarding and exciting aspects of ICFF.”
