Reflecting its continued growth and influence, award-winning architecture and interior design firm CetraRuddy has announced that founding principals John Cetra, AIA, and Nancy J. Ruddy will be joining the Dean’s Advisory Board at the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture at the City College of New York.

Comprising 15 thought leaders and philanthropists, the Dean’s Advisory Board has announced its mission to support and advance the architecture school and aid its goal of producing excellent design professionals. Members are appointed to the Dean’s Advisory Board at the recommendation of Interim Dean Gordon A. Gebert on the basis of their expertise, knowledge, and advocacy for the practice of architecture. In their new roles, Mr. Cetra and Ms. Ruddy will serve as advisors to the Dean, strengthening ties with various stakeholder communities, and developing strategic partnerships to create a climate of support for the architecture school.

According to Dean Gebert,“The Dean’s Advisory Board plays a vital role in the growth and advancement of the Spitzer School of Architecture In forming the Board respected and established leaders in the community were sought– John and Nancy embody the wisdom and enthusiasm that underlies the Board’s mission, and we are pleased to announce them as members.”

For Cetra and Ruddy, who have been students at the Spitzer School of Architecture at the City College of New York, membership on the Board offers an opportunity to support not only the next generation of architects and designers, but also the school itself. “It is a great honor to be appointed to the Dean’s Advisory Board,” says Cetra. “As a professional in a field where mentorship is so important, I know the value of having access to the resources and experience that is embodied by the members of groups like the Board. We’re committed to this opportunity to give back to and the Spitzer School of Architecture, and to help ensure its success continues into the future.”

The CetraRuddy cofounders join a distinguished group of luminaries in architecture and allied fields on the board. For more details on the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture, visit the group’s page at the City College of New York website, found at https://ssa.ccny.cuny.edu
