Discover The Hidden History of Women in Design, Hosted by Humanscale for Women’s History Month

This March, in honor of Women’s History Month, Humanscale is hosting a webinar that shines a spotlight on the unsung heroines of design. Too often, the contributions of women in the design industry go unnoticed, yet their impact is immeasurable. This webinar is a chance to delve into the stories of visionary women whose creativity and innovation have shaped the industry.

Leading the webinar is George Kordaris, a longtime industry leader, a fellow at the Royal Society of Arts, and Associate Professor at the ArtCenter College of Design where he teaches furniture history. During this session, Kordaris will unveil the stories of extraordinary women who have been pivotal in crafting the aesthetics and functionality of the spaces we inhabit and have left an indelible mark on the industry. These women, whose talents and visions have often been overshadowed, deserve our recognition and admiration for their contributions to the design landscape.

Following the 45-minute presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss with Kordaris during a 15-minute live Q&A session. Participants are encouraged to ask questions, share thoughts, and gain a deeper understanding of the influence and legacy of these remarkable women.

The event will occur Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time (US & Canada).
