ASID at EDspaces Oct. 23-25 in Milwaukee

Society to support design-forward solutions for education environments at conference for educators, administrators, architects, and designers

The American Society of Interior Designers ( ASID ) is bringing its “design impacts lives” mission to EDspaces, October 23-25, 2019 in Milwaukee. EDspaces seeks to advance the future of learning environments, bringing together leaders from school districts and colleges, architects, interior designers, dealers, and other exhibitors to offer product solutions and thought leadership for education settings. Through its participation at EDspaces, ASID will lead the conversation surrounding the benefits of thoughtful, human-centric, evidence-based design to students and educators alike.

States Randy Fiser, Hon. FASID, ASID CEO, “We’re excited to partner with EDspaces and bring our thorough knowledge of the design practice to their 2019 conference. Through collaboration with other industries, we strengthen the value and awareness of design. We are thrilled to share the ‘design impacts lives’ mission at EDspaces and to learn from the education industry, as well.”

ASID will be at EDspaces as one of the show’s 2019 Knowledge Partners. Through this participation, the Society will share its expertise to put knowledge and skills to work for future students. ASID will contribute experiences, resources, and connections in order to engage with educators and other show attendees on critical issues facing campus communities.

As the leading association for all sectors of design, ASID frequently conducts research on education spaces to quantify the impact of their design, most recently highlighting Lassonde Studios at the University of Utah (Salt Lake City), a 2019 Outcome of Design Award honoree.

As part of the Society’s collaboration with EDspaces, ASID members are eligible for a registration discount of 20 percent. Learn more at https://www.asid.org/events/ed-spaces .

About ASID

The American Society of Interior Designers believes that design transforms lives. ASID serves the full range of the interior design profession and practice through the Society’s programs, networks, and advocacy. We thrive on the strength of cross-functional and interdisciplinary relationships among designers of all specialties, including workplace, healthcare, retail and hospitality, education, institutional, and residential. We lead interior designers in shared conversations around topics thatmatter: from evidence-based and human-centric design to social responsibility, well-being, and sustainability. We showcase the impact of design on the human experience and the value interior designers provide.

ASID was founded over 40 years ago when two organizations became one, but its legacy dates back to the early 1930s. As we celebrate nearly 85 years of industry leadership, we are leading the future of interior design, continuing to integrate the advantages of local connections with national reach, of small firms with big, and of the places we live with the places we work, play, and heal.
