Announcing Exciting Programming for the AD Design Show 2017

The Architectural Digest Design Show (ADDS) announces four days of programming curated for the design trade and the public, taking place March 16–19, 2017. Hosted in the newly located Jenn-Air Master Class Studio, the show’s two-part seminar program will feature talks with more than 40 top tastemakers. Architectural Digest hosts the first series of talks exclusively for members of the design trade on March 16, followed by three days of conversations for all show goers, covering everything from designer secrets and hands-on tips to inspirational projects and important trends.

Thursday, March 16 Trade Day Programming:

Noon–1 P.M.: Who’s Afraid of the Contemporary Art Market?—Architectural Digest West Coast Editor Mayer Rus moderates a conversation with architect William T. Georgis, art advisor Kim Heirston, and curator Yvonne Force Villareal on navigating the big bucks, labyrinthine world of contemporary art.

2–3 P.M.: What will the Market Bear?— Rus returns to the stage to talk with AD100 designer Anthony Ingrao and dealers Evan Snyderman and Suzanne Demisch about the current market for top-tier vintage and contemporary design.

4–5 P.M.: Keynote Presentation. Superstar Design: A Conversation with Amy Astley and Martyn Lawrence Bullard—Architectural Digest Editor in Chief Amy Astley sits down with LA-based interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard for an intimate look at the dynamics of creating homes for some of the world’s most high-profile celebrities, including Tommy Hilfiger, Cher, Ellen Pompeo, and Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian.

Friday, March 17–Sunday, March 19 Programming: The weekend will offer attendees a window into the world of design—from interiors and landscapes to theater and fashion. With nine carefully crafted topics, the panel discussions will feature inspiration and insight from residential experts and hospitality leaders in their respective fields. The star-studded cast of presenters includes leading design principals David Rockwell, Matthew Berman, Mary McDonald, Michael Suomi, Vicente Wolf, Madeline Stuart, and Edmund Hollander; stylemakers Ken Fulk, Laura Dowling, and Lela Rose; tastemakers Tim Gunn and Genevieve Gorder; renovation gurus Stephen Fanuka, Jason Cameron, and Jean Brownhill; and master craftsmen Lora Appleton, Ara Levon Thorose, Kim Markel, and Cody Hoyt. Sessions will be moderated by lifestyle editors, authors, and design authorities.
