West Elm Workspace Showroom Launches in Tampa
Commercial Design Services (CDS) announces the opening of a West Elm Workspace with Inscape showroom in Centro Ybor. The showroom is a result of the partnership between CDS, a 28-year-old furniture dealership, headquartered in Tampa, and West Elm Workspace, an exclusive office furniture collection launched with Inscape. It is the first showroom in Florida and in the southeast.
The 4,945 square foot space will feature four collections including more than 75 product lines, 140 fabric color options, a lighting line and a proprietary software system. The collections include, Modern, Mid-Century, Industrial and Contemporary. The space will also be used for a variety of purposes including a conference room that designers can utilize for client meetings or a place to host Continuing Education Unit events. CDS will collaborate with designers to provide local workplaces with warm productive environments that focus on wellness.
“We have been offered a unique opportunity to be on the front end of a new concept in contract furniture,” said Stewart Davis, CDS founder and president. “We’re introducing West Elm Workspace furniture to this highly creative and thriving small business market that seeks innovative products for a new kind of workplace.”
As the nation’s fourth West Elm Workspace location, the Ybor City showroom will contribute to Tampa’s metropolitan growth and prestige. CDS will take advantage of upcoming commercial and residential development in the Channelside and Ybor districts. Expanding in Tampa Bay offers the opportunity for CDS and West Elm Workspace to work with young designers and professionals who are gravitating to these neighborhoods.
“CDS is a strong match for our mission to build community through connections with clients and collaborators,” said Hethre Strickland, Business Development Manager with Inscape. “We focus on consciousness, honest and sustainable building practices so we selected a family owned company with a centralized location and thriving economy that we believe understands our concept.”
The four collections will feature pieces by West Elm Workspace with Inscape, an award-winning designer and manufacturer of office furniture that has been initiating change in workspace design for the past 125 years. With an emphasis on quality, innovation, technical design and unparalleled delivery and service, Inscape has been awarded 4 Gold and 1 Silver Best of NeoCon Awards at NeoCon 2014, North America’s largest design exposition and conference for commercial interiors. Inscape collaborates with leading European partners and manufactures designs in North American facilities. The systems, storage, seating and wall solutions foster agility and empower technology in the workplace. Flexible and designed for sustainability, Inscape products enable easy customization and readily adapt to keep pace with changing needs in the workplace.
