West Elm Workspace with Inscape Welcomes Cheryl Carpenter as VP of Workspace
West Elm announced the appointment of contract industry veteran Cheryl Carpenter to the position of vice president of West Elm Workspace.  Carpenter will bring her expertise to the West Elm Workspace business and lead the in-house team in product design and development, supply chain management, sourcing, showroom and market expansion, and sales and marketing. West Elm Workspace was launched June 2015 in partnership with Inscape and today includes 2000+ contract-grade products, accessories, and award-winning solutions.

Carpenter is an experienced executive with more than 20 years in the contract furniture industry. She has demonstrated success in strategic portfolio management, product development, sales, marketing and P&L management. ​Most recently, Carpenter served at Herman Miller as the director of the seating category where she led the development and implementation of the overall category strategy. Prior to that, she was the director of marketing for Herman Miller’s Healthcare business where she drove the Herman Miller Healthcare marketing strategy. Carpenter joined Herman Miller in 2011 after more than twelve years at Steelcase, Inc. where she held key product development, marketing and sales roles.
