Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, today announced Kelly Leanos has been promoted to Principal, Interior Architecture and Design in the firm’s East Bay office located in Pleasanton, Calif. Ware Malcomb’s East Bay office recently celebrated 20 years of providing architecture, interior design, civil engineering and branding services to commercial real estate and corporate clients in Northern California.

Leanos brings over 20 years of interior architecture and design experience to her new role. She joined Ware Malcomb in 2007 as a Project Manager in the firm’s East Bay office (then located in San Ramon), was promoted to Senior Project Manager in 2010, and later to Director, Interior Architecture and Design in 2013. During her 10+ years with Ware Malcomb, Leanos has successfully led the Interior Architecture and Design studio in the Pleasanton office, and served as the Account Executive for several major corporate accounts including Charter Communications, Time Warner Cable and Xfinity by Comcast.
Leanos’ experience includes project management, design, space planning, construction documents, coordination between disciplines, and code compliance for a variety of interior design projects. She has worked on a multitude of full service interior design and tenant improvement projects across the commercial office, retail, industrial, medical, technology and auto industries.
Leanos attended San Jose State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), Silicon Valley chapter, and is certified with the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ).
Ware Malcomb’s Pleasanton office is on track this year to reach the milestone of four thousand projects completed, including hundreds of projects in the Tri-Valley area including Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin, San Ramon and Danville. Some notable projects recently completed include Napa Logistics Center, The Golden 1 Corporate Headquarters, IKEA, and Mercedes Benz of Pleasanton.
