Vocon Announces Los Angeles Leadership To Support Growth on West Coast
Promotes Cory Goings to Managing Director in Los Angeles
As firm continues to build presence on West Coast
Vocon, a leading national architectural and design firm, announced the promotion of Cory Goings to Managing Director in Los Angeles. In October 2018, Vocon established a footprint in the Los Angeles market to accommodate growth and further service their clients in the region. The promotion of Goings builds upon the continued expansion of the Los Angeles office and institutes the management model seen in Vocon’s other locations.
Goings joined Vocon in January as a Director with over 20 years of experience in the design and construction of office, multi-family, retail and mixed-use development projects. A licensed architect and LEED accredited professional, Goings’ design leadership has been integral in establishing a strong local team while delivering many ongoing projects. In his expanded role as Managing Director, Goings will work with all levels of management to execute strategic business plans and provide guidance, mentorship and training.
Prior to joining Vocon, Goings worked at AECOM as Associate Vice President, Architecture in Los Angeles, and also worked in New York at HLW, Dattner Architects and FXFOWLE. Goings received his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, and his Master of Architecture degree from Miami University, Oxford, OH.
Vocon has recently completed several projects on the West Coast, including a 13,000-square-foot headquarters for Compass in San Francisco, a 6,000-square-foot office for Shift Digital in Laguna Beach, and offices for financial services giant UBS Group in Los Angeles. Additionally, Vocon has partnered with WeWork to rollout a customized product, Headquarters by WeWork, that provides growing businesses with office space that is flexible, private and personalized while still having access to the WeWork network.
