Pantheon captures a unique moment, creating an airy and ancient aesthetic. The coffered form is translated into a full systematized tile scape.
Step and Pantheon Integrate Design with High-Performing Acoustics
Turf, a global leader in acoustic solutions manufacturing, has launched two new products: Step and Pantheon. Both ceiling scapes are designed to fill a ceiling plane, creating an integrated design that is supported using a standard Tee Grid. Using a complementary design language, these two products acoustically control and architecturally transform any space while accommodating existing features. Step and Pantheon demonstrate Turf’s ability to transform their flat material into both simple and complex dimensional forms, while maintaining an excellent acoustic performance. As both products allow for a curated range of colors and textures, they work to coordinate with any space’s aesthetics and enhance the ceiling plane with a crisp look.
“This expansion of our product portfolio is indicative of Turf’s mission to transform a wide range of spaces with outstanding acoustics and aesthetics,” said Rob Perri, Turf President. “Step and Pantheon exemplify aesthetically-forward solutions that dampen unwanted sounds. With an abundant range of offerings – including varying sizes, layouts and the option to accommodate lighting – Step and Pantheon promise to elevate the look, and most importantly control the sound, of any space.”
Step and Pantheon are simple, architectural forms with noteworthy potential. Both Step and Pantheon are available in all 9mm PET felt hues and textures, offering a wide selection of design possibilities. Step brings impressive flexibility in color and depth. The simple yet mesmerizing ceiling scape can be built into lifted, sloping, vaulted, or waving visual forms. Step has the ability to change depths from anywhere between 2” to 12” in .5” increments, and works well with user supplied lighting. As Step takes the standard ceiling layout up a level, its design offers many layouts with different depths, including these four layouts:
Pantheon is unique in the moment it captures – the coffered form embraces a simple, architectural form sinking unpleasant acoustics. The new ceiling scape has various design options that can be configured with open and closed tiles. The tiles can be used to create graphic patterns, zones and, with open configuration, easily accommodate mechanical elements in the ceiling or lighting without trimming. Pantheon allows you to create a layout completely tailored to your space, which can be realized with these layouts for inspiration:
Step and Pantheon tiles are both available at a standard size of 24”L x 24”W, but Step is variable depth and Pantheon is 4”D. Both products’ connections are friction fit to 9/16 or 15/16 Tee Grid. As acoustics are Turf’s main priority, both ceiling scapes have an anticipated NRC of .95, which will be available in Summer 2025.
