To Your Health! by Wolf-Gordon: Durable and Long-Lasting Upholstery and Wall Protection for Healthcare Environments

American surface-design company Wolf-Gordon enhances its suite of healthcare-focused materials with “To Your Health!”, introducing new upholstery and wall protection designs that address the aesthetic and rigorous hygiene demands of healthcare. Pairing a soothing pastel color palette and biophilic-inspired patterns with materials developed to perform in heavy abuse interiors, the collection offers solutions and a sense of tranquility for healing environments.

“The goal of To Your Health! is to bring optimism through lively patterning to our growing collection of products created for healthcare spaces,” says Marybeth Shaw, Chief Creative Officer of Marketing and Design at Wolf-Gordon. “Each pattern, whether wall protection or upholstery, balances much needed durability with beauty, in a highly usable range of colorways for healing.”

Upholstery Textiles Patterns:

Adding new patterns to its collection of coated upholstery textiles, Wolf-Gordon’s durable construction features an innovative dual-layer silicone hybrid design, providing all the benefits of both silicone and polyurethane upholstery textiles. These high performing PVC-free upholstery textiles are crafted from bio-attributed (polycarbonate) polyurethane derived from renewable corn starch and enhanced with a silicone top layer. Created to withstand the most demanding environments, the material features an excellent 15-week hydrolysis resistance, is inherently graffiti-proof, stands up to hospital-grade cleaners and disinfectants, and exceeds 100,000 Wyzenbeek double rubs. The new patterns are:

Akari: Named for a Japanese word meaning “brightness” or “illumination,” Akari allows the light between its lines to shine through for an organic grid of simple linework that gives way to large-scale overall movement with a beautifully pigmented linen texture background. The color line features sorbet pastels and calming neutrals.

Ikebana: Named for the art of Japanese flower arrangement, Ikebana is a fitting union of the biophilic and the carefully structured; This gridded pattern was created with painted strips of paper that were cut up and arranged, leaving the natural touch of the hand in the strictly arranged design. The color line includes sorbet pastels and calming neutrals, and most colorways have a coordinate in Akari.

RAMPART® and RAMPART® Resolve Patterns:

Wolf-Gordon’s RAMPART® and RAMPART® Resolve flexible wall protection lines are engineered to meet the demands of high-traffic areas, offering the same heavy-duty surface protection from hard body impact and abrasion. The material withstands rigorous cleanings with disinfectants and quaternary agents, prevents contaminants from penetrating the surface, and is flexible enough to wrap 90° corners and can be railroaded to a length of 81 feet. RAMPART Resolve offers all of the same benefits as the RAMPART, while also being a PVC-free option.

Repose (RAMPART Resolve): The quiet, subtle texture of Repose has the appearance of durable eggshell paint and is available in a range of healthcare-appropriate solid pastel colorways, several of which have been paired with a matching shade of Scuffmaster paint sampled in the recently-released Healthcare fandeck, creating opportunities for innovative cost-saving solutions for wellness interiors.

Vibrato (RAMPART): The organic, loosely woven grid of Vibrato, with its hand-drawn linework that recalls the patterns of the veins of a leaf, provides a calming, subtly biophilic backdrop ideal for healthcare and wellness environments. Vibrato’s healthcare-inspired color line includes soothing pastels and nature-inspired neutrals.
